Author: In Bahrain the CCT forum to discuss on changes on ISO/IEC 17025 -2017 based on FDIS was organized. Various laboratories including the ministry laboratory key team members have attended this 2 hours CCT forum for celebrating changes to gather on ISO/IEC 17025. Mr. Devang Jhaveri, from Global Manager Group with the help of Infovision had invited key mangers and senior member of various laboratories including various Bahrain ministry laboratories and more than 30 participants from many accredited laboratories had attended this ISO 17025 -2017 CCT forum (“Celebrate Changes Together on ISO/IEC 17025 -2017”). The senior members of various laboratories in the field of environment , calibration, precious metal, gems testing, chemical, metal testing, civil and material testing from Bahrain had attended this CCT forum.
In CCT forum the discussion was held for change process of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as well as why changes was discussed. The other topic covered was ISO/IEC 17025-2017 requirements, what is new in the standard as well as documentation required to implement ISO/IEC 17025 2017. All this discussion was held based on ISO 17025 published FDIS. Finally the discussion was held for steps involved for existing accredited laboratories for the transition to ISO 17025-2017. The detail training was given to all the participants in this CCT Forum to share views and information regarding how upcoming ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements will be applied by them. This CCT forum was held in Infovision office conference and total 2 sessions were arranged.It was discussed that after the release of ISO 17025-2017 standard 3 years time is given till November 2020 for existing accredited laboratory to upgrade their system to revised ISO/IEC 17025 2017. All the participants have actively participated in CCT forum and discuss their understanding and queries related to implications of Iso 17025-2017 to their laboratory activities. At the end each participant was awarded training certificate for attending this CCT forum.
Mr. Devang Jhaveri is as expert in field of ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation, having experience of more than 100 laboratory accreditation across the globe, has taken participated in this ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – CCT Forum just to share information technical and management system changes in the upcoming standard. Apply these changes to routine process and how to take this change positively and get benefits by upgrading accreditation and achieving continuous improvement was the highlight of this event.
